Amazon Is Hiring 120,000 Temporary Holiday Workers This Year
If you're looking for some extra holiday shopping money, Amazon is your go-to.
The online superstore has just announced they are hiring across 33 states for the 2019 holiday season. The openings include positions at their fulfillment and sort centers as well as assisting in delivery services for Prime Now, and . The company is also hiring customer service representatives that can work from home.
"We look forward to welcoming back holiday employees who return year-after-year to Amazon and welcome new faces to the team, many of whom will continue on with regular, full-time roles with the company after the holidays," said Dave Clark, Amazon's senior vice president of global customer fulfillment, in a statement to USA Today.
Pay for these positions vary, but are typically between to an hour. Most openings also require applications to be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent. These job are all temporary at first, but Amazon says that they expect to hire thousands of holiday workers into full-time positions.
